“Love ... has no Errors, for all Errors are the Want of Love.” ~ William Law, The Soul Rising out of the Vanity of Time into the Riches of Eternity, Part II (1750)
SCHWARZER HUND shows a selection of works from previous exhibitions and projects, between May 2012 and June 2013, at CORPO 6 GALERIE. Including works of: Rebecca Agnes, Fabio Campagna, Stefano Canto, Marco Giani, Stefania Migliorati, Alejandro Moncada, April Gertler, Hannah Goldstein, Alex Slota, Fritz Welch and Kay Wright.
An “iter” that reveals trough the site specific/crossing media approach of CORPO 6 GALERIE, a florilegium of interventions – paintings, graphics, photographs, video installations -. Focusing its conceptual drive on the topic of (peripherical) territory. Interpreted in its physical and symbolical nuances - the idea of limen, as link, “bridge”, is taken to configure a hermeneutic research on the phenomenology of subjects-objects interrelation.
The works presented detect a dynamic discourse about the construction of polymorphic identities of the city within its vital forces: objects and people.
A room, a fragment of paper, a color, objectify a relation between “actors”. Organizing diverse elements. A dualistic intercourse within reality is defined. Creating a new synthesis . A new continuum.
New subjectivities underlay a visible line: an “organic” approach to reality (Maffesoli, Hillman).
Wherein the wisdom, decoded as “gnosis” – a physical knowledge of things -, manifest itself as sapienza (from sàpere, in Latin, literally to taste of, therein to have a knowledge of) and emerge within the e(sth)etic values: the beauty (the eternal values of platonic research – Tommaso Campanella).
A schwarzer hund. As black Cerberus - the mythological beast with three heads symbolizing the past, the present and the future – is coming this way. An alive archetype of time as an alive force constructing new directions within space.
And revealing itself as an alive, ultimate, image of nature.
- … new deities arise in the dark –
